Rav Henoch Leibowitz (1918 - April 15, 2008) was the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yisrael Meir HaKohen, founded by his father. When his father passed away in 1941, Rav Leibowitz ran the yeshiva, starting in his early 20's, and did so for nearly 70 years. He was extremely dedicated to helping his students develop in their learning, their middos, and their dedication to helping Klal Yisroel.
Rav Leibowitz love of his students is exmplified by the following story: A student drove Rav Leibowitz to the barbershop. The student helped his Rosh Yeshiva take off his coat and hung it up. The barber came over and asked, "Is this your father?" The student proudly answered, "No, he is my teacher." Yet Rav Leibowitz said, "But he is my son."
